Quarterly Meeting In Ellsworth .... If you have never been to one you should check it out. As it 's a pot luck lunch there is lots of good food to share and a chance to sit down and visit with members you might not normally see or have a chance to visit with. Plus club business is taken care of ... stuff like the treasures report, the planning committee's results for the next quarter and so on. Often after the lunch/meeting we go for a short hike. The club needs input from the members to keep our outings fresh. Give it a try.

Shirley E. was the hike leader this day and about 25 DOC'ers got a birds eye view of Penobscot bay. As you can see from the pictures below Bald Rock and Cameron Mountain offer great views of the bay once you get past acres and acres of blue berry fields.

2015-4-9 Schoodic Point on Acadia National Park
I'm not sure just who stepped up to lead this leaderless hike, might have been Christina D. thanks to who ever did this. Anyway cold and cloudy weather did nothing to dampen the beauty of a walk on schoodic point road. The DOC is so lucky to have access to this park.
After the hike Pat B (a Honorary member) invited us all to her house for tea and a warm place to eat our lunch.
