Eliot Mountain to Thuya 2013-8-15
On this hike the leader Judith C., had everybody meet at the Jordan Pond House on MDI.
Once she had 30+ DOC'ers organized we hiked over Eliot Mountain and on to the Thuya Garden in Northeast Harbor. Great weather and no bugs made the day even better.

Frenchboro Lobster Fest 2013-8-10
Ron & Charlotte organized this Off schedule hike & lobster fest in Frenchboro.
This is a popular annual event for lots of Mainers and Ron & Charlotte have lead the DOC'ers for quite some time.
The day starts with a Swans Island/Bass Harbor Ferry trip to Frenchboro then a hike on the island followed by a very popular lobster fest.
It makes for a long day but well worth the effort, especially when the weather is so nice.
If you stayed home this day you missed a blue ribbon Maine day
