Great Head and Sand Beach in ANP Nov 21st

November in Maine . . . You could not have asked for better weather to hike in and a better location to hike at. 

It's officially winter and the tourist are gone.  We had the whole park to ourselves.  To top it off after the hike, the hike leaders Trina and Judy had a tail gate party of goodies and hot cider. WOW.

All of this ( and a full year of similar outings) for only $5 per year.
Don't forget your membership dues are for the calendar year.
Jan 1st will cost you another $5 if you want to stay in the club.

Cedar Swamp Mountain Nov 14th

Another great day for the DOC in Acadia Nation Park.
Valerie and Christina lead another aprox 30 member group of DOC'ers on this hike.

Going away gathering for Terry Principe

At the end of November, Terry  is moving to Wisconsin.  There will be a gathering to say good bye to Terry on Sunday, November 17th at the home of Shirley E.  

Starting at 1 p.m. with a flat walk on a land preserve near by and then return to the house for dessert.  If you wish to come just for dessert, the walk should definitely be over by 3:00 p.m. if not earlier. 
 
Bring a dessert or beverage to share if you can

Anun Betty's Pond Nov 8th

After a rain delay and a brief warm up 14 DOC'ers and 3 dogs set of to circle Aunt Betty's pond. It was a cool and cloudy day but that did not dampen the spirit.

Schoodic Head Sept 26th on Schoodic Head

Another fantastic day was in store for the DOC. Clear sky's and cool weather were waiting for the DOC this day.  It did cloud up but we still had a good time.

Schoodic Mountain 2013-8-30

Dan and Carolyn B. lead 20+ DOC'ers up Schoodic Mountain, in Franklin . . 
a couple hikers finished the day with a dip in  Donnell Pond afterwards.  
Schoodic Mt snf Donnell pond have always been very popular with this club.
